  • Subscription Information: If you choose to purchase a subscription, we will collect information necessary to manage your account, such as your name and email address. All payment processing is handled exclusively by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Your payment card details are provided directly to Stripe via a secure connection. SMS Weather On Demand does not collect, receive, process, or store your full payment card information. We may only receive non-sensitive information from Stripe, such as a payment confirmation, the last four digits of your card, and the expiration date for account management purposes. Stripe is a PCI-compliant provider and handles your payment data in accordance with the highest security standards.
• Location Data:

  To provide weather forecasts, we must use location data. This data is collected only at the time you make a request for weather information.

  You can provide this location in two ways:

  1. By granting the Service permission to access your browser's or device's current location.
  2. By manually selecting a location on a map within the application.

  Therefore, the location data we process does not necessarily represent your precise, real-time physical coordinates.

• Usage and Log Data:

  We may log technical information about your requests, such as the time of the request and the location data provided. This data is associated with an internal, anonymized customer ID for billing, service monitoring, and analytics. This request data is not directly logged against your mobile phone number or other personal identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

SMS Weather On Demand uses the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service, including creating your account and delivering weather forecasts.
• To process your payments and manage your subscription via our payment processor, Stripe.

• To prevent fraudulent activity and ensure the security of the Service.

  • Twilio: To send SMS messages (weather forecasts) to your mobile phone number.
  • Stripe: To process payments and manage usage-based subscriptions. SMS Weather On Demand does not store your full payment card details.
  • Firebase (Google): For backend infrastructure, including secure database management, authentication, and cloud functions.
• By Law or to Protect Rights: We may disclose your information if we believe its release is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of SMS Weather On Demand, our users, or others.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Security of Your Information

SMS Weather On Demand takes data security seriously. We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Our Service is built on the secure Firebase platform, and we leverage its built-in security features, including data encryption in transit and at rest. We follow industry best practices to secure our application and access to data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

We will delete your account and information from our active databases, though some information may be retained in our backups to prevent fraud or for legal compliance.
